Renaming Devices

You can give any connected device a custom name (alias). Custom names appear throughout the app wherever the device is referenced, making it easier to identify devices when you have more than one connected.

Setting a custom name

1. Open the Devices tab

2. Tap the device you want to rename

3. Tap the Edit or pencil icon next to the device name

4. Type your custom name

5. Tap Save

Where custom names appear

• Device list in the Devices tab

• Controller screen device header

• Group names (if the device is part of a group)

• Controller widget in OBS overlay (if device label is enabled)

Clearing a custom name

To remove a custom name and return to the device's default Bluetooth name, clear the name field and save.

Storage

Custom device names are saved to your Fluffer account when you are logged in. On another device signed into the same account, the same aliases appear. Guest-mode aliases are stored locally only.

If you have multiple devices of the same model (for example, two Motorbunny Originals), give each one a custom name like "Red Motorbunny" and "Blue Motorbunny" to tell them apart at a glance.
