If your device disconnects unexpectedly during a session, the most common causes are distance, interference, and battery level.
Distance — Bluetooth has a practical range of about 10 meters (30 feet). If your phone moves outside this range even briefly, the connection can drop.
Interference — other Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi routers (especially 2.4GHz), and physical obstructions (walls, metal objects) can degrade the signal enough to drop the connection.
Battery level — when a device battery is low, its Bluetooth signal weakens and the connection becomes unstable.
App in background — some phones throttle Bluetooth when Fluffer is in the background. Keep Fluffer in the foreground during active sessions.
When a connection drops, Fluffer shows a "Disconnected" status on the Controller and Devices tabs. To reconnect:
Go to the Devices tab
Tap Scan
Your device should appear — tap it to reconnect
If the device does not appear, check that it is still powered on and within range.
The Devices tab shows a signal strength (RSSI) indicator for each connected device. If the indicator is low (weak signal), move your phone closer to the device before starting a session.
Keep your phone within 5 meters of the device during sessions
Avoid placing large metal objects (laptop, other devices) directly between phone and device
Charge your device before long sessions
